During 2012, most states failed to invest the billions of dollars they receive in tobacco settlement payments and tobacco taxes in programs to prevent and reduce tobacco use. And the American Lung Association needs your help to change this in 2013!

That’s why the American Lung Association joins the World Health Organization to observe World No Tobacco Day on Friday, May 31. This year’s theme is “Free Yourself” from tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship. This is a message that fits well with the Lung Association’s drive to see the U.S. Food and Drug Administration fully implement its authority to regulate the manufacture, sale and marketing of all tobacco products.
