The American Lung Association in Rhode Island recognizes that these bold goals will only be met in Rhode Island if these following three actions are taken by our elected officials:

  1. Increase funding for the Rhode Island Tobacco Control Program to $4 million per year;
  2. Raise the price of tobacco products other than cigarettes to prevent youth initiation; and
  3. Close loopholes in the state smokefree workplace law, including for casinos/gaming establishments and hookah bars.
